I never planned to study law. What I did have, though, was a strong moral compass and a deep need to understand why things happen and whether they are happening in the right way. That need became impossible to ignore after my own child was permanently excluded from primary school. Navigating the SEND system firsthand showed me just how difficult, confusing, and emotionally draining it can be for families who are simply trying to do the best for their children.
I went on to study law later in life, earning my degree at 40. Something I still can’t quite believe I achieved while simultaneously navigating the SEND system for my own three children. That journey shaped not only my professional path, but also my approach: practical, determined, and rooted in real-life experience.
I’m known for loving a challenge, for randomly reading case law and legislation as light bedtime reading, for finding it hard to sit still, and for being deeply driven by one goal — ensuring no other family has to face the same battles without support. I truly believe that lived experience combined with strong legal knowledge is a powerful balance, and it’s one I bring to every family I support.

We support families in navigating the complex systems around special educational needs and social care, so children get the right support at the right time. We understand how overwhelming it can feel when you’re fighting for adjustments, services, or fair treatment for your child — especially when processes are unclear or decisions feel out of your control.
Our role is to stand alongside parents, helping you understand your options, prepare for meetings and proceedings, and make sure your child’s needs are clearly recognised and properly supported. With a calm, compassionate, and practical approach, we work to reduce stress, build confidence, and ensure families feel heard, informed, and supported throughout every step of the journey.
Everything we do is centred on the child and their individual needs. We believe that strong, effective support is built around the whole family, starting with parents feeling heard, understood, and respected. By taking the time to listen and truly understand each family’s experiences, we help ensure the right support is put in place to promote stability, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for the child.
